Re-balance mind, body and soul in one of our daily yoga classes. At MoaAlm Mountain Retreat, we offer a variety of Hatha, Vinyasa and restorative Yin classes each morning to improve our health and unwind in this peaceful remote Alpine surrounding. Tailored to suit individual abilities, we encourage and welcome any level to join us on the yoga mat, complimenting your week of fun and challenging activities with some well-deserved downtime in the yoga studio with a morning stretch. This is all combined with healthy vegan and plant based meals, our MoaAlm hospitality and time to appreciate the stunning mountain location in East Tyrol, Austria.
At MoaAlm, we are a remote location situated high in the mountains with amazing views. We have a beautiful, cosy yoga studio with a panoramic view of the mountains. This room invites you to relax, to breathe and enjoy life. Our studio is well-equipped with mats and props to support you in your poses. The yoga space is also available to our guests at anytime of the day if you want meditate, use the space for self practice or join an extra inversion afternoon session. Whenever the weather allows us we also like to go outside to practice our yoga, breathing in the fresh alpine mountain air, stretch in the morning sun and appreciate the surrounding nature.
During most of our holiday weeks we offer yoga sessions on 5 mornings. In the Winter we often offer an inversion class in the afternoons and in the summer an Acro Yoga session in the alpine pasture in front of MoaAlm. Sometimes, if it suits the group, we may also offer extra afternoon restorative classes. These yoga sessions are offered to compliment our activity holidays, whether it's skiing and snowshoe hiking in the winter, or hiking in the summer.
We also offer special yoga retreats such as our Yoga & Meditation week in summer. This is a holiday that focuses on combining morning energising and movement classes, different meditation techniques. We then offer a daily walk in the surrounding Hohe Tauren National Park, with our Austrian hiking guide who has a passion for nature and the mountain environment. The afternoon session are then focused on Restorative classes.
Yoga is the union between mind, body and soul. Yoga helps you to improve your flexibility and strength, to release chronic stress in the mind and the body, to tune into your body’s needs and to treat yourself with kindness and acceptance. Yoga is for everyone - it doesn't matter how old, fit or flexible you are! Our yoga classes are always tailored to individual needs so that everyone can participate at his/her own level and pace. We love sharing our classes with beginners who have never experienced Yoga before. Guests are not pressured into going to classes every morning, but everyone that attends really appreciates the healthy start to the day and the early introduction to the mountain views.
We can also offer the option of booking MoaAlm to Yoga teachers wanting to host your own retreat. With us providing the local knowledge of the area, guided activities and a gorgeous remote setting, MoaAlm is the perfect location to host a retreat in the Austrian Alps.
